Shopping at local markets, learning to cook local food and savoring it family-style with friends is the ideal way to get to know a place and its culture. Our Market Cooking experience is all of those things, beginning with a trip to Luang Prabang’s venerable Morning Market, where you discover traditional herbs and spices and exotic fruits and vegetables. Next, our Chef will lead a cooking demonstration at the hotel kitchen, with all participants actively engaged in all aspects of preparing the meal. After class, enjoy the fruits of your labor in a family-style meal at The Terrace, our restaurant overlooking the Nam Khan.
